Software and IT Engineer (Space Industry)

JUST ONE, on behalf of its client, one of Europe's leading Space companies, is looking for a:

Software and IT Engineer

Responsibilities:

Participate in software development projects, including design, coding, testing, and deployment phases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain software applications that meet business requirements.
Provide basic IT support services, including troubleshooting software and hardware issues, user support, and system maintenance tasks.
Assist in setting up and configuring software and hardware for internal users.
Work closely with the IT team to address technical issues and ensure smooth operation of systems.
Contribute to the documentation of software solutions, IT processes, and support activities.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in software development and IT support.
Preparation of responses to calls for tenders (ESA, Horizon Europe etc.)
Identify requirements, participate in design & specification generation activities.
Contribute to ESA management and technical documentation for project reviews.
Implement and maintain software applications, IT systems, and network infrastructure.

Requirements:

BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Strong knowledge in software development, IT infrastructure, and system administration.
Experience with distributed computing, cloud technology, and virtualization/containerization.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java and JavaScript.
Familiarity with web development frameworks and libraries such as React.js, Angular, Node.js, etc.
DevOps knowledge including CI/CD (GitLab CI/CD pipelines) and scripting languages (Bash, Python)
Experience with network administration, server management, and security protocols.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
English (proficient level, required) and German (good-to-have).
Willingness to take on challenges, show resiliency and like to always learn new skills
Military service obligations fulfilled (for male Greek citizens)
