Compliance Officer

Responsibilities:
Compliance Management:
Implement the compliance policy and internal controls to ensure regulatory adherence.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk mapping system for non-compliance, identifying and assessing risks and creating detailed action plans.
Conduct compliance reviews across all areas of the organization.
Risk Monitoring and Mitigation:
Monitor, detect, and evaluate risks of non-compliance.
Propose and oversee preventive measures and ensure their effective implementation.
Provide input and draft responses to supervisory authorities regarding compliance matters.
Advisory and Training:
Advise Executive Management, the Executive Management Committee, and the Board of Directors on compliance with legal, regulatory, and administrative requirements.
Offer support to operational teams for implementing compliance procedures and controls.
Deliver training programs on compliance-related issues for employees.
Governance and Reporting:
Report regularly to governance bodies, including the Operational Risk Committee and Convention Committee, on compliance risk management activities.
Pay particular attention to the civil and criminal liability risks associated with non-compliance.
Team Leadership:
Manage the Compliance Team, including the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) Officer.
Ensure level 2 oversight of AML/CFT systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with other key functions, particularly Risk Management.
Act as the Data Protection Officer (DPO), representing the entity in regulatory matters related to data protection.
Requirements:
Higher education degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar compliance role, preferably within the insurance sector.
Proven expertise in compliance, with a strong understanding of Solvency II (particularly Pillar 2).
Operational experience in project management, especially in automation or process improvement projects.
Deep understanding of regulatory environments, corporate governance, and business processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
Exceptional writing and reporting skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in project-based environments, define action plans, and track their progress.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset, strong customer focus, and high-quality standards.
Pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach to addressing operational challenges.
