Business Development Manager
Detailed Task Description:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the space industry, including collaborations, partnerships, and contracts.
Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends, opportunities for expansion, and competitive positioning.
Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, governmental bodies, and industry associations.
Responsible for the preparation of proposals, responses to tenders (e.g., ESA, Horizon Europe), and other business development documents.
Work closely with the engineering and product teams to align business development strategies with company capabilities and goals.
Participate in industry events, conferences, and workshops to enhance company visibility and network with potential clients and partners.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing materials and campaigns for the space sector.
Provide regular reports on business development activities, market trends, and potential growth opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in business development, preferably within the space industry or related fields.
Strong understanding of the space market, including technologies, regulatory environments, and key players.
Excellent networking skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships.
Strategic thinker with a knack for identifying opportunities and developing innovative approaches to business growth.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with proficiency in English. Additional languages (e.g., German or French) are a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively across functions, including engineering, marketing, and product management.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A background in engineering or science is highly advantageous, especially related to the space industry.
Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally, to meet clients, partners, and attend relevant events.
