Business Development Manager


Detailed Task Description:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the space industry, including collaborations, partnerships, and contracts.

  • Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends, opportunities for expansion, and competitive positioning.

  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, governmental bodies, and industry associations.

  • Responsible for the preparation of proposals, responses to tenders (e.g., ESA, Horizon Europe), and other business development documents.

  • Work closely with the engineering and product teams to align business development strategies with company capabilities and goals.

  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and workshops to enhance company visibility and network with potential clients and partners.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing materials and campaigns for the space sector.

  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, market trends, and potential growth opportunities.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the space industry or related fields.

  •  Strong understanding of the space market, including technologies, regulatory environments, and key players.

  • Excellent networking skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships.

  • Strategic thinker with a knack for identifying opportunities and developing innovative approaches to business growth.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with proficiency in English. Additional languages (e.g., German or French) are a plus.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions, including engineering, marketing, and product management.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A background in engineering or science is highly advantageous, especially related to the space industry.

  • Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally, to meet clients, partners, and attend relevant events.

  • Military service obligations fulfilled (for male Greek citizens)
